The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration will finance with almost RON 480.5 million (EUR 97 million) the construction of an 18,000-seat stadium in Constanta, which will be named after the former great Romanian player, Gheorghe Hagi. The sports complex will also include a training ground for football and athletics, with a grandstand for about 1,000 seats. It will also benefit from exterior improvements (promenade, alleys, roads and platforms) and parking areas.

In addition to the basic functions, with a sports purpose, the stadium building will also integrate a series of complementary functions, such as training rooms, conference center, exhibition space, administrative, commercial and catering spaces. The duration of design and execution of the works is estimated at 28 months.
