Chinese automotive parts manufacturer signs 23,000 sqm lease at MLP Poznań West

MLP Group has secured a significant long-term lease agreement with a Chinese automotive parts manufacturer at its MLP Poznań West logistics center. The deal, part of the manufacturer’s global nearshoring strategy, involves 23,000 square meters of modern warehouse and office space, with construction set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024. The facility is scheduled for completion and handover by the second quarter of 2025.

The new building will adhere to the highest environmental standards, aiming for BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification. It will feature state-of-the-art technology, including heat pump systems for heating and photovoltaic panels to meet much of its electricity needs. The project reflects a growing trend of Asian companies establishing operations in Europe to bring production closer to target markets.

Agnieszka Góźdź, a member of the MLP Group Management Board, highlighted the strategic significance of this partnership, stating that the agreement underscores the strong demand from Asian companies and the excellent location and quality of the MLP Poznań West center. The logistics park, located on the western side of Poznań near the S11 expressway and just 7 km from the A2 motorway, is designed to attract tenants from e-commerce, logistics, distribution, and light industrial manufacturing sectors.

The new facility will also incorporate sustainable features, such as rooftop solar panels, EV charging stations, and extensive glazing for better natural light. MLP Group’s strategy of retaining and managing its logistics parks ensures that this development will continue to support global nearshoring efforts and optimize supply chains.

MLP Poznań West, with a planned total area exceeding 170,000 square meters, is a key component of MLP Group’s expansion in the European logistics property market.
