Croatia’s Pevex to open new store in Gospic
Croatian do-it-yourself and consumer electronics retailer and wholesaler Pevex signed a EUR 7.5 million deal with local construction company Projektgradnja Plus to build a store in the town of Gospic in the mountainous region of Lika. The store will cover almost 4,000 sqm and will open next year, according to Pevex press release. The new unit will create some 40 jobs.
PEVEX operates 29 retail centres in 25 Croatian towns. It plans to open soon a central warehouse in Zagreb, following a EUR 15 million investment. As part of its expansion, it is also finalising works on its store in Porec, in the northern Adriatic region of Istria, and is building another store in Zabok near Zagreb. The company’s investment plan envisages 40 stores across Croatia and the company announced plans for investments abroad without elaborating.
