The Dedeman retailer, controlled by the Dragoș and Adrian Pavăl brothers, with a turnover of just over RON 10 billion in 2021, purchased almost 6.6 hectares of land in the I.C. Bratianu area, Constanța county, from Somaco Construct, a company that deals with the production and sale of construction materials, owned by businessman Grigore Comănescu through the Comprest Util group.

The land is located about 1 km away from the place where the future store of the German DIY retailer Hornbach will be opened, which recorded a turnover of almost RON 1.3 billion on the local market in 2021.

"For the time being, we have not made a decision regarding the future destination of the land. Currently, we are exploring several opportunities for its capitalization," said Dedeman representatives.

The transaction would be between EUR 10.6 million and almost EUR 12 million.
