Rental income of CTP, a property developer specialising in industrial and logistics properties, increased by 13 percent year-on-year to EUR 230.3 million (CZK 5.5 billion) in the Czech Republic last year, the company said in a press release today. The company said in a statement that the gross asset value in the Czech Republic exceeded EUR 5.5 billion (CZK 130.9 billion), an increase of 35 percent compared to 2021.

The Czech portfolio of CTP Group, which had a total profit of 796.5 million euros (CZK 18.9 billion) and net rental income of 452.1 million euros (CZK 10.8 billion) last year, accounts for the largest share of the entire group (37 percent).

CTP expanded its space in the Czech Republic by 300,000 sqm last year. In total, it has 56 parks in the country, covering 3.8 million square metres, with an occupancy rate of 97 per cent. CTP says it has a 28 per cent market share in the Czech industrial-logistics property market.

"CTP continues to confirm its role as a leader in the Czech Republic. Despite a relatively challenging period full of unexpected events, we managed to meet our targets and grow steadily in 2022," said David Chládek, CEO of CTP for the Czech Republic, which has 220 employees in the Czech Republic.

In the coming years, CTP wants to double the volume of its business assets in the Czech Republic, increasing its portfolio by 300,000 to 500,000 square meters annually by 2030, which corresponds to a growth of approximately ten percent. Jakub Kodr, CTP's commercial director for the Czech Republic, said that it is an ambitious plan, but the company is very flexible and can respond to market changes.

Last year, CTP installed photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 15 MWp on the roofs of buildings in CTParks in the Czech Republic. CTP started installing solar in 2010 and plans to add up to 20 MWp this year. Last year, CTP's Czech team established a five-year collaboration with the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Brno University of Technology to support young talent in the construction industry and planted 120,000 trees.
