Draexlmaier opens second factory in N. Macedonia

German car parts manufacturer Draexlmaier opened a new production plant in Kumanovo, in the northern part of North Macedonia. This is the company’s second production plant in the country.

According to the company’s statement, the value of the investment is in the "double-digit million" range. There will be over 700 employees working in the new plant and it plans to increase the headcount, according to Draexlmaier Macedonia director general Lucas Miringer.

Draexlmaier opened its first production plant in North Macedonia, in the central city of Kavadarci, in 2012. The plant is manufacturing electrical system sets for the automotive industry.
