Construction of a new shopping center located between the four-lane Hradecká Street and Hudcova Street at the border of Králova Pole and Medlánek is to begin next year in the north of Brno. The building, with two underground and three above-ground floors, will occupy an area of over 2,700 square meters and will house a supermarket and other shops. According to the visualizations, the Lidl chain should have a store here, according to a document on the EIA Information Portal.

The nearest shopping center from here is in Králové Pol, in the neighborhood of the Lužánky swimming stadium, within one kilometer of the planned building there are Lidl and Billa supermarkets. The Brno-based company Hendy Industries plans to build in a place where there is currently more or less inaccessible greenery that will have to be cut down and carved. The shopping center will be accessible via a new one-way road from Hradecká Street, which will be connected to Hudcova. At the same time, the road will be connected to the exit to the gas station west of the shopping center.

The construction should be completed around the middle of 2025, it should have a green roof, greenery in the atrium, and new greenery should also be created outside the paved areas. There are to be 217 parking spaces at the shopping center, of which 164 will be underground.

The shopping center would complement the current offer in the northern part of Brno. From the 1990s and after 2000, business zones in the south of the city developed rapidly and, since the majority of Brno's inhabitants live in the northern part, they generated a large traffic load. The first shopping center in the northern part was Globus near the Svitavy drop-off, later the aforementioned shopping center was created near the swimming stadium.
