Panattoni, is launching its latest project in Western Poland, close to the border with Germany. The developer has just purchased a plot in Żary, not far from the E36 route connecting Berlin with Lubuskie province. Panattoni Park Żary will comprise 15,000 sqm, of which 8,000 sqm is to be built as a BTS project. This has already been leased by an international producer of polyurethane foam for (among others) the furniture industry. The company will begin operations in its new premises in the second quarter of 2023. The project is being built to qualify for BREEAM environmental certification at the ‘Excellent’ level.

West is best for clients. Almost half of Panattoni’s facilities are currently being built as BTS projects – and a large number of these are located in Western Poland. This is an extremely attractive region, especially for European e-commerce. In this part of the country the developer has already built facilities for such companies as Amazon and will provide huge logistics centres in the future for Otto Group and Best Secret. Manufacturing companies are also able to benefit from the Lubuskie province’s excellent location.

Panattoni Park Żary, with a target area of 15,000 sqm, is to be built on the acquired plot. Almost 8,000 sqm will be occupied by a leading European producer and distributor of polyurethane foam, which will move there from one of its existing facilities. In the facility in Żary, it will carry out foam processing processes for (among others) the furniture industry. Thanks to this new class-A space, it will also be able to provide adequate levels of comfort to its employees, while supporting its growth in the region even more efficiently. The project is to be BREEAM certified at the ‘Excellent’ level.

“Once again, a company operating on several European markets has recognised the value of operating in Lubuskie province, which has become a hive of development in Western Poland. The excellent location in Żary, close to the E36 road and the Germany border, provides opportunities for international companies to serve almost all of Europe. The interest in Western Poland is growing all the time, and we – by developing both BTS facilities and speculative space – remain flexible and ready to cooperate with any industry,” insists Maciej Zawada, the BTS Development Senior Manager at Panattoni. “We are also happy to enter into further fruitful cooperation with the local authorities in the region, at the district, county and city level. We need to take full advantage of the attractiveness of this location and help drive its further growth,” adds Marek Foryński, the BTS Managing Director of Panattoni.

Bordering on greatness. Panattoni Park Żary will be situated a mere 30 minutes from the border with Germany, near European road E36, which connects Lubuskie province with Berlin. The park is also just 2 hours from the border with the Czech Republic. The project is to be built within the Żary Commune Investment Zone, making it an even more attractive proposition for clients.

Panattoni driving Western Poland. The developer is constantly expanding its portfolio in Western Poland. After delivering projects in such locations as Zielona Góra, Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Świebodzin, Bolesławiec, Iłowa and Sulechów, as well as more to the north in Szczecin and Stargard, this time the developer is building its first park in Żary. However, this is not the company’s first investment in this location. In 2013, Panattoni delivered 10,800 sqm of production and warehouse space for a company specialising in repairing electronic equipment. At its Żary facility, the client has been able to benefit from such features as temperature control adjusted for the handling of this equipment.
