PKO Bank Polski has concluded a long-term lease agreement for the entire space in the Skysawa office building in Warsaw, the investor of the facility - Polski Holding Nieruchomości (PHN) said. The office complex will be the new headquarters of PKO BP.

“The long-term lease of the entire area of Skysawa is an important event not only for the PHN Group, but also for the entire commercial real estate market. The conclusion of the transaction indicates that there is a demand for centrally located, modern and attractive office space. We are proud to make our flagship investment available to such a reliable and important partner as PKO Bank Polski,” said Marcin Mazurek, president of PHN.

A lease agreement for approx. 35,000 sqm of space concluded with PKO Bank Polski is the largest transaction of this type on the commercial real estate market in Warsaw in the last several months. The office building consists of two buildings. The higher part of the complex is a 155-meter tower, consisting of 40 floors.

"Our strategy assumes, inter alia, optimization of space and adapting it to the changing needs of both employees and customers. We are also aiming at a greater concentration of the headquarters units and group companies that are located today in various parts of Warsaw. The search for new office spaces for the bank has been going on for several years. The pandemic, which changed the way work was performed and the importance of the hybrid model increased, additionally accelerated this process. An important argument in favor of adapting office space is also the progressive centralization of tasks and the transformation that the bank will continue in the coming years,” said the bank's vice president, Wojciech Iwanicki.

The office complex will be the new headquarters of PKO Bank Polski - the largest financial institution in Poland, as well as one of the largest financial groups in Central and Eastern Europe, underlined. The handover of the subject of lease is planned for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Skysawa is an office and commercial complex with an area of approx. 35,000 sqm. The construction work began at the end of June 2019. The key advantage of the investment is its location in the very center of the capital, next to Rondo ONZ, in the quarter of Świętokrzyska, Twarda, Mariańska streets and Jana Pawła II avenue. Skysawa is one of the few investments in Warsaw that has a direct connection to the metro station.

Polski Holding Nieruchomości (PHN) is one of the largest entities in the commercial real estate sector in terms of portfolio value. Since 2013, PHN has been listed on the WSE.
