Polish exports of goods and unclassified transactions grew fastest by 151% y/y in Jan-Sep

The fastest growth in exports in January-September 2022 was in goods and transactions not classified in SITC (by 151%), the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported.

In exports, the largest increase was in goods and transactions not classified in the SITC (by 150.1%), mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (by 149.3%), oils, fats, animal and vegetable waxes (by 93.1%), food and live animals (by 32.2%), chemicals and related products (by 29.5%), industrial goods classified mainly by raw material (by 25.6%), non-edible raw materials except fuels (by 17.6%), machinery and transport equipment (by 15.4%), miscellaneous industrial products (by 13.9%), and beverages and tobacco (by 7.4%), according to the report.

In imports, increases were recorded in goods and transactions not classified in the SITC (up 257.8%), in mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (up 110.9%), in oils, fats, animal and vegetable waxes (up 88.0%), in non-edible raw materials except fuels (up 33.1%), in chemicals and related products (up 27.9%), in food and live animals (up 27.7%), in industrial goods classified mainly by raw material (up 26.3%), in miscellaneous industrial products (up 25.3%), in beverages and tobacco (up 19.7%), and in machinery and transport equipment (up 14.0%), the Office also reported.

The GUS reported today that exports rose 20.3% y/y to 251.9 billion euros in January-September 2022, while imports rose 28.5% y/y to 266.7 billion euros in the period.
