The Spanish group Roca, the largest manufacturer of sanitary ware in the world, is preparing the demolition of the former Cesarom factory in the Preciziei area of Bucharest. Roca has been present in Romania since the end of 2006, when it bought the Cesarom sanitary ware factory in Bucharest from the Austrian company Lasselsberger, plus the land on which it operated, covering an area of over 6 hectares, for around EUR 10 million. Shortly after taking over the factory, the Spanish also bought from Lasselsberger, an adjacent plot of land of almost 5 hectares, on which the old tile and stoneware section of Cesarom was located, plus warehouses, outbuildings, all dilapidated, and a showroom.

Now Roca is preparing the papers to demolish the old buildings of the tile and stoneware department, which are in an advanced state of disrepair, and will keep only the showroom.
