During the coming winter, the airline Smartwings will provide 23 of its 42 aircraft for use abroad. Today it announced that it will lease its four new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft with crews to flydubai airlines. It is moving to improve the utilization of its aircraft during the winter season, when demand for travel in Europe is lower, this was stated by Smartwings spokesperson Vladimíra Dufková.

In addition to the United Arab Emirates, of which Dubai is a part, Smartwings aircraft will also find use in the USA, Canada or Israel in the winter. flydubai will lease four Boeings from November 17 to January 16 next year. 125 members of the Smartwings flight crew, technicians and operational staff will head to Dubai. Dufková did not state the value of the transaction.

Smartwings succeeded in the tender announced by flydubai. The four planes in Smartwings colors will strengthen its fleet of 68 Boeing 737 machines. They will be based at the international airport in Dubai and will fly on routes to Bangladesh, Pakistan, Oman or Sri Lanka, among others, flydubai airlines also leased four planes from Smartwings at the turn of 2019 and 2020.

The largest Czech airline, Smartwings, belongs to the Smartwings Group from the Unimex Group, which is owned by entrepreneurs Jiří Šimáně and Jaromír Šmejkal. This year, it carried 4.6 million passengers in three quarters, 2.5 million more compared to the same period last year, which was still significantly affected by the global measures against the covid-19 epidemic. In addition to regular lines and charter flights, Smartwings has long been providing special flights for international companies, world humanitarian and sports organizations. Czech Airlines is a subsidiary of Smartwings.
