Austrian construction giant STRABAG reported a significant achievement in 2023, ending the year with a turnover of nearly RON 2.2 billion in Romania, more than doubling its revenue from the previous year. The company attributed this success to its strong performance in the local market, which stood out as one of the best-performing regions within the group, despite a downturn in business across many other countries.

In 2023, STRABAG initiated over 141 new projects across Romania, spanning various construction sectors. These projects include infrastructure developments, such as roads and railways, as well as the construction of modern commercial spaces and water treatment plants.

“Over the past year, we embarked on a total of 141 new projects of various sizes and delivery timelines,” STRABAG representatives stated, emphasizing the diversity and scope of their operations in Romania.
