Tesco reopens renovated store in Klášterec nad Ohří with modern upgrades
Tesco has unveiled its newly renovated store in Klášterec nad Ohří, located at Chomutovská 210. The upgraded facility now features a modern look, advanced technology, and refreshed departments tailored to contemporary shopping preferences.
The renovation has significantly enhanced various sections of the store, including the fruit and vegetable area, bakery, service counters, and the popular F&F fashion section. In celebration of the reopening, customers can enjoy a 20% discount on their entire purchase using their Clubcard during the first week.
“We aim to be a responsible community partner wherever we operate,” said Katarína Navrátilová, CEO of Tesco Česká republika. “In celebration of our store’s reopening, we are supporting the local Hope organisation with a CZK 50,000 donation. Additionally, we regularly provide unsold food to this charity for distribution to those in need, and food unfit for human consumption but suitable for wildlife is given to the Rokle - Uhošt’any hunting association.”
The reopening event was attended by several key figures, including Štefan Drozd, Mayor of Klášterec nad Ohří; Vojtěch Krump, Regional Director of Naděje; Patrik Dojčinovič, Tesco’s Chief Operating Officer for the Czech Republic; and Šárka Loukotová, Tesco store manager.
The newly renovated store boasts a fresh façade with LED-backlit logos and environmentally friendly updates, including a new cooling system and energy-saving refrigerator doors. The F&F fashion department has been completely overhauled with updated lighting, flooring, and shelving, featuring a new backlit logo.
The fruit, vegetable, and bakery departments have been merged into a single unit, enhancing convenience for shoppers. The deli and meat counters have also been renovated, and the bottle redemption area has been expanded in anticipation of new legislation on PET bottle and can recycling.
Overall, the store’s redesign extends to improved shop facilities, including new floors and redecorated walls, all aimed at providing a more efficient and enjoyable shopping experience for customers.
