Timisoara City Hall will invest RON 45 million in a parking lot with 184 spaces

Timişoara City Hall is planning an investment estimated at RON 45 million (EUR 9 million) for the construction of a multi-storey car park with a capacity of 184 places in the central area of the municipality, on Nemoianu street.

"Our intention is to free up as much of the public space in the central area that is now occupied by cars, move them into a collective parking building and use the freed space for green areas, bike paths or better sidewalks . The parking will have three above-ground floors and 2 underground floors and we will integrate several functions – charging stations for electric cars, but also parking spaces for bicycles. Photovoltaic panels will be installed on the parking terrace,” said Dominic Fritz, the mayor of Timisoara.
