Třebíč wants to build utilities in a new industrial zone on the northern outskirts of the town next year. The cost is expected to be about CZK 60 million, according to Pavel Pacal (Pro Třebíč), the mayor of Třebíč.

According to him, entrepreneurs are interested in the land, but there are no suitable plots in the town's possession. "There are interested parties and I expect that there will be others in connection with the construction in Dukovany," Pacal said. The construction of a new nuclear power plant is being prepared in Dukovany, about 28 kilometres from Trebic. It should be operational in 2036.

The construction of the utilities of the new industrial zone could be paid for by the town hall from a subsidy from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The application for the subsidy, which could be up to CZK 36 million, was approved by the city council today.

The site in Rafael Street is zoned for manufacturing activities, light industrial production, manufacturing services, capacity warehouses, wholesale of industrial products and commercial activities.
