Volume of large property transactions halved in the first six months

The Romanian real estate investment market recorded a value of EUR 168 million in the first half of this year, almost half the level of 2022, reveals the data from Colliers report. Within this margin, the industrial and logistics segment accounts for about 36 percent of the total and the office segment for about 31 percent.

According to the report, the largest transaction of the year was a sale and leaseback of FM Logistic warehouses, with a portfolio of about 100,000 sqm in several cities, bought by CTP. Although the value of the transaction has not been made public, it was estimated to be around EUR 60 million.

Offices also remained an important asset class and attracted transactions accounting for 31 percent of total volume in the first half of 2023, while retail generated around 23 percent of turnover and hotels almost 11 percent.
