Pavăl Brothers Acquire Land in Pitesti

The DIY chain Dedeman, controlled by the Pavăl brothers, has purchased land in Pitesti from retailer La Cocoş, where one of the first hypermarkets in Romania, Pic, operated.

Supermarket La Cocoş sold this land after recently opening its first store in Pitesti, in the Supernova shopping center, just 1.5 km away, in the same area, instead of a Carrefour hypermarket.

It is not clear what the Pavăl brothers will do with the space, yet. There is a Dedeman store in Pitesti, but on the opposite side of the city, but a competitor of Dedeman, Brico Depot, has a store located very close to the space it has just purchased.
